Safety and Health at Work

For Bondalti, ensuring the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) of its employees is a constant commitment. The company's strategic pillars are based on investment in a solid and positive safety culture, based on trust, credibility, and behavior of both leaders and employees, as well as service providers. Although the change in behavior is not immediate, the objective of projects focused on the behavioral dimension is to raise the organization to a level of interdependent safety culture. This implies that each individual cares not only about themselves, but also about others, without the need to be corrected.

The Health and Safety Policy is widely communicated throughout the organization through various moments and communication channels. All people who start jobs at Bondalti receive reception training, where they have their first contact with their content. In addition, information panels and the company's website are used to ensure comprehensive disclosure. Politics is also the subject of discussion at meetings of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, usually held on a quarterly basis. Whenever a change occurs, it is submitted to the workers' representatives for consideration.

Rules Save Lives

The draft Rules that Save Lives aims to improve and adapt to best practices in safety areas considered critical to the company's activities.

Adopting a multidisciplinary participation methodology, Bondalti carried out a review of procedures and practices, with the objective of identifying the main difficulties in their implementation and defining the best way to ensure that they are accepted by all and adapted to reality. Once adjusted based on feedback collected during work sessions and duly stabilized, the rules are transmitted through training actions whose purpose is to guarantee their understanding and, subsequently, their application. Training generates new feedback which may lead to additional revisions and adaptations, in a continuous improvement process.

This process is complemented by a regular assessment of the way in which the procedures are being complied with. This assessment is carried out through checks, audits, preventive safety observations and the active presence of security teams on the ground.

Preventive Safety Notes

Additionally, Bondalti implements a practice that allows monitoring whether defined behaviors are being followed, providing a set of indicators that assess compliance with the rules.

In 2024, the Preventive Safety Observations (OPS) program continued, whose objective is to contribute pedagogically to the improvement of the safety culture. This program is based on the commitment of leaders, who record monthly, on a dedicated platform, situations of insecurity or good security practices that deserve attention.

It is important to note that more than 600 observations were registered throughout the year, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the collaborative spirit around the topic of security.

The human factor in Cybersecurity

Bondalti recognizes the increasing importance of the human factor as an essential agent in Cybersecurity. Although technological solutions are crucial to protect networks and data, employee behavior remains the most vulnerable point. Attacks such as phishing, social engineering, and ransomware exploit, to a large extent, human flaws, such as lack of knowledge or vigilance when interacting with emails, links, or systems.

For this reason, Bondalti invests in an awareness and training program for its employees, promoting a valued and differentiated culture of digital security. The integration of the human factor into the information security strategy also involves creating an environment in which employees feel involved and informed, which can become a differentiating factor and increase the organization's cyber resilience.

Business ethics: the Bondalti perspective

Bondalti reaffirms its commitment to an ethical and responsible corporate culture through a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at preventing and combating corruption and related offences. This commitment is reinforced by the Regulatory Compliance Program, in alignment with the General Corruption Prevention Regime (RGPC).

The program aims to prevent, detect, and sanction any acts that may compromise the integrity of the organization, including the review and updating of Code of Ethics, now referred to as the Code of Ethics and Conduct, which reflects Bondalti's guiding principles and values. In addition, the Regulations of the Ethics Provider and Responsible for the Regulatory Compliance Program, a position assumed by João Fugas, non-executive director.

The adoption of the Plan for the Prevention of Risks of Corruption and Related Infractions is a fundamental milestone, since it identifies and assesses potential risks, establishing preventive and corrective measures to mitigate the likelihood and impact of such situations. In parallel, Whistleblower Channel was modified to ensure that all employees, suppliers, customers and other interested parties can report situations in a secure and confidential manner, ensuring protection for whistleblowers and the proper investigation of each case.
