Climate Transition Strategy
Bondalti is aware of its responsibility to actively contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy. Based on this commitment, in 2024, the Climate Transition Council (CTC) was created, composed of Directors and Coordinators from key areas of the organization and two members of the Executive Committee, including the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).
The governance model of this Council has the following structure and respective responsibilities:
Board of Directors
Supervision of the Group's approach to climate transition in business management.Comissão
Executive Board
Management and follow-up of all the activities and projects carried out related to the Group's approach to climate transition, including the supervision of climate impacts, risks and opportunities.
Climate Transition Board
Support the development and implementation of the Climate Transition Strategy and all priority actions related to the climate transition in the Group (policies, procedures, controls, measures, among others).
Risk Management and Internal Audit
Monitoring of the climate risk management process, ensuring its implementation in accordance with the risk management model established within the Group.
Sustainability and Climate Transition (STC)
Development and coordination of the implementation of the Group's Climate Transition Strategy. Identification, analysis, monitoring, and control of climate risks. Responsible for responding to regulations, indices, ratings and frameworks related to the climate transition.
Key Areas Bondalti
Operational implementation of the actions outlined in the Climate Transition Strategy and tracking of the KPIs to monitor progress towards the established targets. Monitoring and quantification of climate risks.
The main objective of the Climate Transition Council is to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Climate Transition Strategy by monitoring ongoing projects, defining policies and objectives, and monitoring the actions, planning, and resources necessary to implement and monitor them.
The activity of this Council focuses on four strategic macro areas that Bondalti considers fundamental: Strategic Integration; Adaptation of its own operations; Transformation of the Value Chain & Investments; and Engagement and Collaboration.
The creation of this Council represents one of the fundamental measures to ensure a correct governance model for the entire program that will be developed to respond to the challenges Bondalti faces in these areas.

Bondalti is fully aligned with the climate objectives established at European level, including the European Union's 2040 target of a 90% reduction in net greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to 1990 levels.
This commitment is reflected in the company's goals, which are supported by clear and structured action plans developed in accordance with the organization's strategy.
The energy of tomorrow
By 2030, Bondalti aims to have 100% of its electricity consumption produced from renewable energy sources, through a strategy focused on self-consumption and PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements with stability and price advantages). Currently, Bondalti has already contracted 42 % of its green energy consumption with guarantees of origin.

Restoration and Conservation of Natural Habitats
Among the projects that illustrate our commitment to biodiversity, the program for the restoration of natural habitats in areas adjacent to our facilities stands out. This program aims to recover degraded ecosystems, promoting native flora and fauna and ensuring the continuity of essential ecological cycles.
Species Monitoring
Another example is the emblematic species monitoring project, where we collaborate with local and scientific organizations to identify, protect, and study endangered species. This project focuses on raising awareness of the importance of biological diversity and developing nature-based solutions.

Waste and circular economy
Bondalti seeks to exploit the full potential of circularity in its industrial processes, continuously investing in the optimization of the resources it uses. Our priority goes beyond reducing waste generation, also considering the recycling and recovery of these materials.
